Italy: Along the Adriatic

One of the great things about Rimini this time of year is that the beaches are EMPTY!  The water is a bit cold but the sand is perfect and my kids can play all day in the sand.  We have been fortunate to have good weather so the sand is still warm and dry.  Here are some lovely pictures of the kids enjoying themselves at the beach the past few days.

Yeah sand and water!

Mariah was the bravest of us.  She was constantly hopping in and out of the cold water.

Kari took the kids in for a dip several times.  It was too cold for me!
Natasha and all her sand toys.

We wrote our names and they lasted for days -- because nobody was on the beach.

 Mom and the girls.

Natasha and Tyler found a great hole to dig around in.
Once Natasha got in, however, she couldn't get out.

Tyler in his hole.

The greatest sand castle ever!

Kari had the great idea of burying the kids and turning them into merpeople. (Tyler was not a mermaid but a merman, of course!)

Natasha wanted to join in the fun so I made her a mermaid tail too.
